Cartier Retro 14K Gold, Platinum, Diamond Sapphire Buckle Ring

A rare 14K gold and platinum flexible brickwork strap and buckle ring set with blue sapphires and a diamond. The sapphires are rather unusual, as this style of ring was usually set with rubies. The buckle is fully functional and the strap is without holes, so the ring can be adjusted from size 1 to 10. The ring would have been retailed in Cartier’s New York store. The back of the clasp is stamped Cartier and bears a partial serial number.
