A lovely pair of 18K yellow gold day and night earrings worked in 18K yellow. Each pendant features a cluster of turquoise grapes in silver cut-down settings adorned with silver grape leaves and the surmounts are similarly decorated The gold surfaces are ornately worked with curving lines, flowers, and foliage. The earrings are constructed so only the top portion can be worn in the daytime and the longer pendants added for more formal evening wear. They can also be worn with the pendants reversed to show the simpler sides. Both pendants and surmounts are fully stamped with early 19th century hallmarks, including unidentified maker’s mark (GP with a heart and spear).
